What is Pilates? A non impact movement system that stretches, strengthens and tones muscles providing increased flexibility and improved circulation and helps create a pain free body. Pilates will help you become more intune with your body. It will improve your posture and balance and mental acuity. It will noticeably change the way your body looks, feels, and performs.
What is yoga? A yoga practice is an in depth training that enhances the body, heart, and mind. Through dynamic or static sequencing of asana or postures, combined with pranayama or yogic breathing techniques, students increase their awareness of bodily sensations. These meditative movements combined with deeper mindful breathing create healthful opportunities for the body to be painfree, energized, more flexible and agile, coordinated and balanced, and most importantly yoga creates an environment for students to relax, focus, and let go.
